Small Appliance Repairs
This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, Dorchester Penitentiary, Medium Sector and Shepody Healing Centre and Dorchester Penitentiary, Minimum Sector.
Trade agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT), North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)/Canada-Peru, Canada-Colombia and/or Canada-Chile Free Trade Agreements.
Tendering procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid.
Competitive Procurement Strategy: lowest priced compliant bid.
Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business: This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Aboriginal Suppliers.
Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.
Security Requirements: This contract does not include security requirements.
Nature of Requirements:
The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.
The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to maintain all small appliances in the Dorchester Complex in good working order.
Objectives: The contractor must provide small appliance repair service, on an as and when required basis, to various makes and models of appliances located in the Dorchester Complex.
Deliverables: The contractor must be available to provide small appliance repair service on the following equipment on an as and when required basis within 24-hour notice from the Project Authority or his/her delegate:
- Washers & Dryers (72)
- Refrigerators (99)
The Contractor must provide all tools required and all tools are checked through security upon arrival and departure from site.
Work will be completed during regular work days of Monday to Friday from 0800hours to 1630 hours.
All work must be performed in either French or English.
No work can be started until authorization is given to do so by the Project Authority or his / her delegate.
All work will be performed subject to the inspection and acceptance by the Project Authority.
The Contractor is responsible for obtaining required parts for repairs. The contractor must request direction from the Departmental Representative prior to replacing any component.
Expected Delivery Date: between April 1st, 2016 to March 31st, 2017 with four option periods of one year each.

After contract award, bidders may request a debriefing on the results of the bid solicitation process. Bidders should make the request to the Contracting Authority within fifteen (15) working days of receipt of the results of the bid solicitation process. The debriefing may be in writing, by telephone or in person.
