DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Point Pelee National Park located near Leamington, Ontario is undertaking a redevelopment of its existing campground. The public campground will feature 24 Otentik structures (already in place), specially-designed canvass sleeping quarters that can house up to 6 people. The construction elements of this project involves the creation and improvement of supporting structures and utilities that will enable the camp to function to its full potential. Work includes but is not limited to the expansion of the existing dining hall, relocation of two structures, redevelopment of parking areas and the construction of a new comfort station.

Bid security is required.
Contractors must have $5,000,000.00 Liability Insurance Coverage and a Builder’s risk insurance.

Faxed submission will NOT be accepted. Only revisions will be accepted by fax.
SITE VISIT:
There will be a site visit on Thursday, March 9th, 2017 at 11:00am (EDT). Interested bidders are to meet at Point Pelee National Park - Camp Henry located at 1550 Point Pelee Drive, Leamington (ON), N8H 3V4 (6.5 km inside park). This site meeting is not mandatory, but it is recommended that all bidders attend.
NOTE TO POTENTIAL BIDDERS:
Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.
Standard Terms and Conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference into, and form part of the Tender and Contract Documents.
DELIVERY DATE: NEW DATE
The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work at the latest , See the three (3) phases, from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
The work will be in 3 different phases:
Phase 1-Start on contract award to completion by June 30, 2017.
Phase 2-July 1 to August 31, 2017
Phase 3 –August 31st to December 15th, 2017

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
