Description

SCOPE OF WORK

The scope of work covered consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for launchway construction at Goose Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador, in strict accordance with specifications and accompanying drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract.

In general, the work under this contract consists of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following:

  • Supply and installation of a new concrete launchway using precast concrete panels atop cribwork, as noted on the drawings. Excavation of harbour sediments will be required to seat cribs. In addition, the toe crib associated with the launchway is to be concrete filled with dowel bars embedded into bedrock.
  • Supply and installation of concrete retaining walls and concrete slab at approach to address the cross slope at launchway approach.
  • Supply and installation of treated dimension coping, wheelguard and wheelguard blocking, as noted on the drawings.
  • Supply and installation of rock/gravel fill, granualrs, geotextile and rip rap, as detailed on the drawings.
