NATIONAL SECURITY EXCEPTION

The national security exceptions provided for in the trade agreements have been invoked; therefore, this procurement is excluded from all of the obligations of all the trade agreements.

REQUIREMENT: To clear vegetation along some site perimeters, acquire and install security fencing and gates, maintain the fencing during the Summit operational period, and follow the Summit, remove the fencing and restore the sites to their former condition in accordance with Annex “A” – Specifications and Drawings.

MANDATORY SITE VISIT: There will be a site visit on Thursday, October 12^th, 2017 at 10:00am EST. Interested bidders are to meet at 181 Rue Richelieu, La Malbaie, QC G5A 1X7.

DELIVERY DATE: The project will be organized into three (3) Phases, with Phase 1 to commence in early November, 2017. The entire Construction needs to be completed prior to April 30^th, 2018. A more detailed schedule will be available under Annex “A” – Specifications and Drawings.

Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received not less than five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond.

The Crown reserves the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.

Pursuant to GC6 of the General Conditions, the resulting Contract will include the provisions for changes in the Work at the request of the RCMP.

All Specifications and Drawings are included as a separate document, and to be referenced as Annex “A”. This document will only be provided to those bidders who sign and return Annex “D” – Non-Disclosure Agreement to the Contracting Authority by the date and time identified, and attend the Mandatory Site Visit.
