Description
The National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) is a shared facility between CFIA and AAFC, and is the primary location for both parties to manage or be involved in a national response to events and emergencies relating to their respective mandates. The NEOC provides resources and support to the CFIA’s National Emergency Response Team (NERT). As such, the NEOC is maintained in a constant state of readiness to provide necessary resources and function as a central point for communication, decision making and coordination during periods of activation.
The equipment within the NEOC includes two Crestron units, two cube walls and the hardware and software necessary to ensure that images can be displayed properly on the cube walls. Images can come from the computers in the main room, the boardroom, the satellite receivers and the PVRs.
