    Description

    Description of Work: The works of the actual contract include the rehabilitation of the Canal Lachine walls on the sections showed on the bid form and the drawings.

    The rehabilitation works can include one or many of the following activities:

    .1 Repair and replacement of the concrete crowning walls (including retaining walls);

    .2 Supply working platforms and temporary supports to carry out the works according to the drawings and specifications;

    .3 The installation of a retaining system with steel sheet piles and the verifications of the train track stability during the works (follow up and survey required);

    .4 Works in proximity of an active train track that will be temporary closed for a specific time. Installation of a protection system on all train track (tracks, sleeper, ballast, etc.) during works

    .5 Execute all the detailed surveys required on the existing walls to repair or replace and also the additional sections asked before and after the demolition of the walls;

    .6 Validate the existing crowning wall alignment and supply a co-managing proposition with existing and the shop drawings, sections and details;

    .7 Supply and install a buoyage all along the corridor of the encroachment zones in the canal including the navigation lateral buoys (each extremity and a middle one) and security balloons (yellow) allowing to maintain the cable at the water surface;

    .8 All other repair details showed on the drawings submitted in the actual contract.

    There will be an optional site visit on 22 March, 2018 at 10 am. Interested bidders are to meet at Charlevoix Bridge next to the Lachine Canal (See ANNEX C in Invitation to Tender)

    Closing Date and Time: April 12, 2018 at 2 PM Eastern Daylight time (EDT)

    National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

    Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.
    Standard Terms and Conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference into, and form part of the Tender and Contract Documents.

    Delivery Date: Contractor must perform and complete work at the latest 20 weeks calendar from May 7th 2018. Construction holidays and all others vacation are included in work duration.
