    SCOPE OF WORK: The NCC building – fire protection Upgrade consists of construction work in a building located in Chelsea, QC. The Contractor, awarded the work, shall supply, install and commission the work as outlined in the tender documents. Generally the work consists of, but is not limited to: replacement/upgrades of the fire protection sprinkler system; removal of an existing water cistern and associated piping and wiring; various related architectural, electrical, structural and mechanical work


    The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work:

    .1 Construction for this project shall begin on June 25th 2018.

    .2 Substantial Completion for this project shall be August 15, 2018.

    .3 However, there is no access to site by contractor for the last two weeks of August (August 17 to 31st TBC). The contractor must make sure site is clean and ready to receive occupants before their arrival to site Mid-August.

    .4 Final Completion including cleanup for this project shall be September 7, 2018.

    .5 Phasing of work:

    .1 Contractor must coordinate shop drawings and equipment delivery to site in a proper timing and provide all required personnel and workers to achieve completion on time.

    Site visit: A MANDATORY site visit will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 11am Ottawa Time. All costs incurred by the Bidder to attend the site visit will be at their expense. The NCC will not reimburse any Bidder for expenses related to the site visit. To confirm your attendance at the site visit and to gain access to the grounds, please communicate with NCC Corporate Security at 613-239-5222 or at least 24 hours prior to the site visit. Please note that all visits to sensitive sites shall be coordinated with, and approved by NCC Corporate Security. The site visit for this project is MANDATORY. The representative of the Bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Tenders submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be accepted

    ENQUIRIES DURING THE SOLICITATION PERIOD:  Enquiries regarding this tender must be submitted in writing to the following: Sr. Contract Officer, Allan Lapensée e-mail address – as early as possible within the solicitation period. Except for the approval of alternative materials as described in GI15 of the General Instructions to Bidders, enquiries should be received no later than five (5) calendar days prior to the date set for solicitation closing to allow sufficient time to provide a response. Enquiries received after that time may result in an answer not being provided
