    Description

    DESCRIPTION OF THE PROCUREMENT:

    1. This tender is for the reinstatement of the asphalt surface and cycle track improvements across the entire bridge corridor. 
    2. The asphalt surface work includes resurfacing of all asphalt vehicular lanes, complete removal of the concrete gutters, repairs to the northbound expansion joint over Bronson Channel and adjustment of catch basins. 
    3. The cycle track improvements include the installation of a vertical barrier between the cycle track and roadway
    4. The services required are to cover the supply of labour, equipment and materials necessary to complete the work outlined in the tender documents.
    5. Construction is to be completed by the end of September 2018. 

    SITE VISIT : A NON MANDATORY site visit will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 9:00 AM Ottawa Time. The meeting place will be at the Mill Street Brew Pub parking lot at 555 Wellington St, (Google link map : https://goo.gl/maps/Mta2XESx6ct ), Ottawa, Ontario. All costs incurred by the Bidder to attend the site visit will be at their expense. The NCC will not reimburse any Bidder for expenses related to the site visit.

Except for the approval of alternative materials as described in GI15 of the General Instructions to Bidders, enquiries should be received no later than five (5) calendar days prior to the date set for solicitation closing to allow sufficient time to provide a response. Enquiries received after that time may result in an answer not being provided. To ensure consistency and quality of the information provided to Bidders, the Sr. Contract Officer shall examine the content of the enquiry and shall decide whether or not to issue an amendment. All enquiries and other communications related to this tender sent throughout the solicitation period are to be directed ONLY to the Sr. Contract Officer named above. Non-compliance with this requirement during the solicitation period can, for that reason alone, result in disqualification of a tender.
