Portage Bridge - Surface repairs

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROCUREMENT:

1. In May 2018, the National Capital Commission called tenders for asphalt resurfacing and cycle track improvement. Due to concerns expressed by contractors, the National Capital Commission is retendering the work in two separate phases, with this year’s tender to primarily include asphalt resurfacing.
2. This tender is for the reinstatement of the asphalt surface across the entire bridge corridor for all three southbound and two northbound traffic lanes. 
3. The asphalt surface work includes complete removal of the concrete gutters, and adjustment of catch basins. 
4. The services required are to cover the supply of labour, equipment and materials necessary to complete the work outlined in the tender documents.
5. Construction is to be completed by the end of September 2018.
