    NOTICE

    TO CONDUCT PESTICIDE EFFICACY AND CROP TOLERANCE TRIALS, SCREENING TRIALS AND RESIDUE TRIALS IN ACCORDANCE WITH OECD GOOD LABORATORY PRACTICES (GLP)

    RESIDUE TRIALS

    Proponents must submit the “Residue Trial Application Form” (Appendix D, Attachment 2) for each trial for which a bid is being made. 

    All residue trials must be conducted in accordance with the requirements of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) or U.S.A. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) GLP.

    Zone 1 = 1A and Zones 5=5A=5B. Bids are acceptable for locations within the combined zones; however, bids for trials within the specified subzone may be given preference for trial distribution purposes. Zone 7 does not equal Zone 7A.

    Residue Trials are available for the following:

    Apple, Blueberry (lowbush), Potato

    Zone 5/5A/5B

    Apple, Carrot, Cherry (tart), Grass (fescue), Grass (Switch), Grass (timothy), Hops, Onion (green), Onion (dry bulb), Potato, Quinoa, Spinach, Sunflower

    Zone 7

    Alfalfa, Canary seed, Bean (dry), Grass (fescue), Grass (timothy), Herb (coriander), Quinoa

    Zone 7A

    Bean (dry), Grass (fescue), Grass (timothy), herb (mint), Potato

    Zone 9

    Cherry (sweet)

    Zone 11

    Cherry (sweet)

    Zone 12

    Blueberry (highbush), Caneberry (raspberry), Hops

    Zone 14

    Alfalfa, Cherry (tart), Grass (fescue), Grass (timothy), Quinoa, Sunflower

    EFFICACY/CROP TOLERANCE TRIALS

    Proponents must submit the “Efficacy and Crop Tolerance Application Form” (Appendix D, Attachment 1) for each trial for which a bid is being made. 

    Location of the trial must be identified and efforts to ensure sufficient pest pressure at the site must be documented and submitted with the proposal.

    Bids for trial locations in differing zones than indicated may be made with documented support that the crop is grown and that the pest occurs in the proposed zone. Preference may be given to locations in the zone specified for trial distribution purposes.

    Efficacy/Crop Tolerance Trials are available for the following:

    Entomology:

    cucumber (greenhouse), herb (mint), onion (dry bulb), onion (green), ornamental (Christmas tree), Ornamental (outdoor), quinoa, spinach, strawberry, strawberry (greenhouse), tomato (greenhouse)

    Pathology:

    Blueberry (lowbush), caneberry, caneberry (raspberry), cranberry, cucumber (greenhouse), edible honeysuckle, ginseng, grass (fescue), grass (perennial ryegrass), grass (timothy), herb (basil), herb (coriander), herb (greenhouse basil), herb (mint), hops, lettuce (greenhouse), lettuce (head), lettuce (leaf), mustard greens, onion (green), ornamental (outdoor), ornamental (greenhouse), parsley, pepper (greenhouse), plum, potato (sweet), quinoa, radish, spinach, strawberry, swiss chard

    Weed Science:

    Apple, carrot, cranberry, edible honeysuckle, grass (switch), grass (timothy), herb (coriander), herb (mint), hops, onion (dry bulb), onion (green), potato, rhodiola

    SCREENING TRIALS

    Proponents must use the “Screening Trial Application Form” (Appendix D, Attachment 3) for each screening project proposal.

    Screening Trial proposals may be submitted for the following:

    Pathology:

    Root rot (Phytophthora sp.) in Cherry (sweet)

    Blossom blight (Fusarium sp., Heterosphaeria sp., Ascochyta sp.) in Coriander

    Slippery skin (Burkholderia sp.) of onion
