    Description

    Requirement:

    Parks Canada requires landscape maintenance activities including removal of failed trees and installation and maintenance of replacement trees in Waterton Lakes National Park. Plant material includes Populus tremuloides, Betula papyrifera and Populus balsamifera. The number of watering events will be dependent on weather conditions at the site and Parks Canada will communicate site conditions to the Contractor. One visit per week from May 15th 2019 to September 15th 2019 will amount to 16 visits for watering/general maintenance, with the possibility of additional visits if required.

    Maintenance activities also include repair and replacement of deer and rodent fencing.

    Enquiries:

    All enquiries of a technical and contractual nature must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Authority as early as possible within the solicitation period.

    Enquiries should be received no later than eight (8) days prior to the date set for solicitation closing to allow sufficient time to provide a response. Enquiries received after that time may not be answered.

    National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

    The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Canada Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).

    The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
