    Description

    Parks Canada Agency has a requirement for construction services for the demolition and reconstruction of new kiosks and protective crash barriers at the Brackley Beach entrance of Prince Edward Island National Park. Also included is the addition of an overhead structure capable of carrying overhead signs. Elements of this construction project include (but not limited to):

    1. Construction of new kiosks that will meet the needs of staff who require mobility accommodation;
    2. Construction of new roadways that will allow for increased revenue collection as well as the capture of social science data;
    3. Increasing the length of queuing lanes to improve visitor safety.

    Site Visit:

    It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. There will be an optional site visit on Tuesday July 02, 2019 at 10:00am (ADT). Interested bidders are to meet at:

    Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority before the site visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

    National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

    Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

    Bid Security:

    Is required. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $500,001 > $ 1,000,000, Taxes extra.

    Mandatory Criteria

    Bidders must demonstrate with their bid that they meet the mandatory requirements. Refer to Appendix 3 for details.

    Delivery Date:

    The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by December 20, 2019.
