    Description

    Background

AMI is a software application used by the Corporate Finance Team to work in parallel with the SAP-based corporate accounting system to support a variety of finance and material management functions. AMI is a custom system developed and maintained using Omnis Classic and Omnis Studio.

A business case was completed in May 2019, and it was identified that the AMI application is experiencing multiple issues due to the fact that Omnis Classic 7 user software is outdated. It was recommended that the Omnis Classic 7 software be upgraded to the Omnis Studio 10.1 desktop and web version.

    Objectives

Develop a proof of concept for the conversion enhancement to two (2) predetermined system libraries (Gufi_Main.lbr, and FMBIS_CENREQ.LBR) from Omnis Classic 7 to Omnis Studio 10.1. The proof of concept enhancements will be undertaken through off-site development in collaboration with NRCan and the AMI support service provider, Nortak Software Ltd. NRCan will support the scheduling and booking of facilities for all meetings or teleconference as required.

A detailed work plan of activities and deliverables for the completion of the conversion efforts is to be completed. This is to be delivered within ten days of the contract award. A Status Report format is to be updated and reviewed on a bi-weekly basis with the Project Authority.
