    Description

The department of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) has a requirement to complete a full review of the existing Building Automation System (BAS) systems and upgrade the following components, creating a single BAS system, monitored and controlled by Les Controls AC:

    • Install local digital displays on the three (3) new control panels installed for XR-02 and XR-03 from the AIP2 furnace/AHU upgrades.
    • Install room temperature sensors for XR-15 first floor server room and second floor HF room and tie this into the Les Controls BAS to allow for remote monitoring of these rooms and/or receive alarms on the BAS of any temperature alarms (due to A/C unit malfunction)
    • Install sensors in XR-15 boiler room and XR-14 boiler room with monitoring and alarms notification, similar to the sensors in the existing XR-12 mechanical room. Investigate to have control functions as well as monitoring functions.
    • Transfer the controls program for AHU-1 and AHU-2 of XR-14 from the CMS BAS to the Les Controls AC BAS.
    • Incorporate an alerting system in the XR-03 second floor operations and garage areas to warn the Logistics Operations Officers of any alarms in the existing CO detection systems in building XR-14. NOTE: XR-14 has the only installed CO detection system.
