    This amendment is issued to answer a bidder's questions.

    Question 1: Is there currently or has there been a Company providing these Services and what was the Contract Value?

    Answer 1: Yes, similar courseware developer services have been provided in the past by Bombardier Aerospace, Military Aviation Training until 2012. The contract was an all-encompassing CF-18 Advanced Distributed Combat Systems (ADCTS) contract to include the integration of the simulator hardware, infrastructure and the courseware developer/training services with a total contract value of $270 million CDN.

    Question 2: Would the Crown Consider an extension of two weeks?
    Answer 2: No extensions will be considered as the Crown cannot afford any further delays in training.

    This requirement is for the Department of National Defence (DND).

    Number of Contracts:

    This bid solicitation is intended to result in the award of one (1) contract for two (2) years, plus one (1) one-year irrevocable options allowing Canada to extend the term of the Contract.

    Requirement:

    The Department of National Defence has a requirement for two (2) Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) software Courseware Developers for CF-18 Advanced Distributed Combat Systems (ADCTS). 

    Security Requirement:

    Supplier Security Clearance required: Top Secret

    Resource Security Clearance required: Top Secret

    Security Level required (Document Safeguarding): None 

    For services requirements, Bidders must provide the required information as detailed in article 2.3 of Part 2 of the bid solicitation, in order to comply with Treasury Board policies and directives on contracts awarded to former public servants.

    Location of Work:

    Region(s): Quebec and Alberta

    Specific Location(s): One resource is required for the Mission Training Centre, Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Bagotville, Quebec, and one resource is required for the Mission Training Centre, CFB Cold Lake, Alberta.
