This procurement will provide for renovations to the Official Residence, garage, and surrounding property to the Embassy of Canada to Norway. The works required are broken up into three (3) core components, listed below:
1. Garage Works - Dismantle, relocate, and reconstruct the existing garage. Existing garage requires relocation inorder to carry out the required renovations while complying with Oslo`s heritage building conservation requirements.
2. Windows - Restoration of windows and replacement of façade boards on the main building and garage.
3. Exterior Structures - Construction of a new outhouse, accessibility ramp, porch, and improvements to the courtyard.
The works are required to address damages caused by inclement weather and age of the HC and its surrounding structures as well as to take preventative measures to protect the HC and surrounding structures from as much future damage as possible.
The objective of this project is to have as much of the garage and windows salvaged from the original build as possible while improving accessibility for embassy staff, visitors, and clients, as well as to protect the structure from further damages caused byreaching it's lifespan. All added exterior structures will be built to match the existing building aesthetic as closely as possible
