The Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement to procure a maximum quantity of 208 Adjustable Tow Bar (ATB) Kits for theLight Armoured Vehicle Upgrade (LAV UP) Family of Vehicles (FOV).

This requirement does not include a requirement in terms of resources nor timeline for design, development nor prototype testing.  The proposed ATB must be based on a proven technology,which has been designed, tested and trialed on a Military vehicle. 

The proposed Contractor must provide the ATB Kit in accordance with the Requirement at Annex "A" and its appendices included in the Request for Proposal (RFP) document.

The requirement also includes provision of Spare Parts to support the equipment for the first two (2) years of use from the date of the ATB Kit delivery. 

As part of the Technical Bid, the Bidder must provide two (2) samples of the proposed ATB Kit. The two (2)samples must be submitted by bid closing date to the Department of National Defence at the address specified in Part 2, Article 3.2 of this solicitation.

There will be no payment by Canada for any costs incurred in the preparation and submission ofthe proposals and samples resulting from this RFP. The samples may be returned to any unsuccessful Bidder upon written request to the Contracting Authority. Such request must be made within 30 days of Award Notice. Canada will not be responsible for anydamage or alterations to the samples as a result of the evaluation and testing.

All enquiries regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing only to the Contracting Authority no later ten (10) calendar days before the bid closing date.  Enquiries received after that time may not be answered.
