REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) - Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS)

    INTRODUCTION

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) plans to establish a competitive Standing Offer for the acquisition of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), spare parts and accessories, training, technical support and repair and overhaul services, at various detachments across Canada, in support of RCMP's RPAS Program.

The RCMP's RPAS Program is intended to capture an aerial account to support operations. RCMPS's RPAS are used for four primary purposes: crime scene examination; forensic collision reconstruction; search and rescue; and monitoring critical incidents such as emergency response teams. The program is also used to research and test RPAS countermeasures, including RPAS that can safely and securely contain other RPAS that are interfering with public safety operations.

OBJECTIVES OF THE REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)

This RFI is issued by PSPC on behalf of the RCMP to obtain feedback regarding the availability of current RPAS on the market meeting the technical requirements as specified in the draft Annex “A” Statement of work (included) and the capacity of the industry to provide RPAS in-service support.
