Risk Assessment Methodology for the prioritization and management of Vessels of Concern (Wrecked, Abandoned, Dilapidated, and Hazardous Vessels) for the Canadian Coast Guard

The Oceans Protection Plan (OPP) comprises a broad Plan of multiple initiatives meant to ensure the protection and safety of Canada’s coasts, and emphasize collaboration in these efforts with coastal and Indigenous communities. 

As a result, the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) is seeking the participation of subject matter experts to help develop a Statement of Work (SoW) for services of a Contractor to develop a risk methodology and assessment tools that can be employed to assess the level of risk posed by a Vessel of Concern (VOC) (an abandoned, wrecked or dilapidated vessel) located in Canadian waters or on Crown land.

Participation will be restricted to subject matter experts. The subject matter experts are defined as experts in risk management, naval architect, marine engineers and any other field that would add value to the project. 

Participants will not restricted to submit a bid as a result of a Request for Proposals.
