    PROJECT IDENTIFICATION:  	Project number R.053068.004 -
    Uninterupted Power Supply 		Recapitalization at 335 River Road,
    Ottawa, Ontario K1V 1C7. 
    
    PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  The project consists of the installation
    of new electrial and mechanical equipment aimed at increasing
    the power of the presently existing uninterupted power supply
    system and at the same time bringing it in line with other
    equipment found at Environment Canada, 335 River Road, 
    Ottawa, Ontario.
    
    Work is to be completed within twenty (20) weeks after contract
    award. The estimated cost for this 	opportunity is within the
    following category: $500,001 - $1,000,000.
    
    MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT: This procurement contains a
    mandatory security requirement.  At bid closing, the Bidder must
    hold a valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS).  	
    Failure to comply with this requirement will render the Bid
    non-compliant and no further 		consideration will be given to
    	the Bid.
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:  There will be a site visit on December 12,
    2012 at 10:00 a.m.  Interested bidders shall meet at the main
    entrance of Environment Canada, 335 River Road, Ottawa, Ontario.

    Amendments, when issued, will be available from MERX. Firms that

    sources do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible
    to inform the bid calling authority of their intention to bid.
