R.034088.027 - Refrigeration Bypass System
Food Production Facility, 1170 Algoma Road, Ottawa, Ontario

Project description:  The project consists of the installation of new split DX system for selected walk in coolers andfreezers. The existing system incorporates a common compressor rack and common glycol heat exchanger. In case of failure of the central cooling system all kitchen components utilizing cooling are affected. To eliminate this condition secondary /stand byrefrigeration system is required. These modifications will include; Installation of new DX split condenser and evaporators for designated freezers and coolers including refrigeration piping, electrical connections, minor structural support modificationsinside walk in coolers and freezers to accommodate installation of new piping and evaporators, new piping extension for condensation and all required auxiliary devices for power supply, control and alarms.
Work is to be completed within Sixteen (16) weeks after contract award. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: $250,001 to $500,000.  

MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT:  
 
This procurement contains a mandatory security requirement.  The Bidder must hold a validDesignated Organisation Screening (DOS) clearance.  

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:  

There will be a site visit on Thursday March 10, 2016 at 10am.  Interested bidders shall meet at the front entrance of 1170 Algoma Road, Ottawa, Ontario.

Due to the nature of the requirement and in order to gain access to the building, all bidders must submit the name (legal name) and date of birth of each individual that will be attending the site visit. 
This information is to be submitted to the Contracting Authority by email at the following email address: jasmin.michaud@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca no later than March 8th, 2016 at 12:00 p.m., as this information must be verified and confirmed through CISD. 
You will only be advised if a name is provided and CANNOT accessthe sitevisit, if no response is sent back to you, it confirms that the individual has the proper clearance to participate. 
It is the responsibility of the bidders to ensure that the Contracting Authority is in receipt of this information by the dateand time specified. All contractor personnel/individuals that bidders plan on sending to attend the site visit must be cleared prior to attending. No personnel/individuals will be permitted to access the site without the required clearance.

Safety Attire - It is mandatory that all individuals attending the site visit have proper safety footwear (CSA approved green patch). Contractor personnel/individuals who do not have proper safety attire may be denied access to the site.
