PROJECT IDENTIFICATION:  R.096994.001 Sir John Carling West Annex Demolition, 930 Carling Avenue, Ottawa ON

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The scope of the project consists of dewatering and demolishing the Sir John Carling West Annex building. Demolition will include removal of the piles, pile caps and grade beams supporting the structure. Special measures will be required in order to protect natural elements on the site. 

Work is to be completed within thirty-two (32) weeks after contract award. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: $1,000,001 to $5,000,000

MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT:  
 
This procurement contains a mandatory security requirement.  At bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS). Failure to comply with this requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no further consideration will be given to the Bid.

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT: 
 
There will be a site visit on April 7th 2021 at 10:00 hrs. Interested bidders are to meet at the Sir John Carling West Annex Office Building, 930 Carling Ave, Ottawa Ontario.
 
Safety Attire - In order to be guaranteed access to the site all persons should have the proper personal protection equipment (safety glasses, footwear, vests and hard hats etc.). Contractor`s personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire may be denied access to the site.

Security pre-screening: All the individuals attending the site visit must hold a security clearance of Reliability. The names of each individual attending the site visit, their date of birth, along with the name of the firm they represent, should be provided to the Contracting Authority 24 hours in advance of scheduled site visit in order to gain access to the site.
