    RIDEAU FALLS DAM
    
    Requirement
    To provide all necessary labour, tools, equipment, materials, safety devices and supervision to provide the services required in the Statement of Work dated August 25, 2017, for the Rideau Falls Dam located at 1 John Street, Ottawa, Ontario.
    
    Period of the Contract
    The period of the resulting contract will be for two (2) years with three (3) options to extend each for an additional consecutive twelve (12) month period.
    
    Mandatory Site Visit
    It is MANDATORY that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work sites. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held on September 28, 2017. The site visit will begin at 9:30 a.m. meeting at Rideau Falls Dam, 1 John Street, Ottawa, Ontario.   
    
    Bidders should communicate with the Contracting Authority prior to the site visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders will be required to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders should confirm in their bid that they have attended the site visit. 
    Bidders who do not attend the mandatory site visit or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment and their bid will be declared non-responsive. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.  
    It is mandatory that bidders provide and wear all Personnel Protective Equipment for the site visit including:  SAFETY BOOTS, HARD HAT, AND TRAFFIC VEST/JACKET.  Bidders who do not comply will not be permitted to attend the site visit.
    There is currently construction at this site.  Attendees will be required to attend the Safety Orientation from the contractor working at the site at the beginning of the site visit.
    Proposals will be evaluated against Mandatory and Point Rated Criteria.
    Mandatory requirements:
    1) Attendance at the Mandatory Site Visit;
    2) Submission of a Firm Price/Rate in Canadian funds for all the items listed in the Request for Proposal, Appendix “C”, Financial Bid - Basis of Payment;
