ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS REMAIN UNCHANGED ********************** PROJECT IDENTIFICATION: In-Service Support to Flow Control Equipment at Rideau Falls Dam The Rideau Falls Dam complex is located in the City of Ottawa where the Rideau River discharges into the Ottawa River over the Rideau Falls. The complex consists of the East Dam and the West Dam located respectively on the east and west sides of Green Island. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The Contractor will provide all labour, sub-contractors, supervision, tools, access equipment, materials, and transportation required to do the following: 1. inspect, maintain, and repair flow control equipment at Rideau Falls Dam Complex such that it will be safe and reliable, will meet its operational specifications, and will be capable of lifting its rated loads; 2. inspect, maintain, and repair heating system for the gates and gains at Rideau Falls West dam, including the controls computer and website, such that it functions as intended; 3. certify stoplog lifters to the requirements of CSA B167 and ASME B30.2, and to O. Reg. 851; and, 4. certify gate hoists to the requirements of ASME B30.7 and O. Reg. 851. Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) may require Contractor to operate stoplog lifters under certain rare circumstances; PWGSC will authorize such additional work by a Task Authorization as and when required. PERIOD The period of any resulting Contract will be for a period of three (3) year(s) plus up to three (3) additional consecutive twelve (12) month periods, under the same conditions. MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT: This procurement contains a mandatory security requirement. At bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid RELIABILITY Status. Failure to comply with this requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no further consideration will be given to the Bid. The Contractor/Offeror must, at all times during the performance of the Contract/Standing Offer, hold a valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS), issued by the Contract Security Program (CSP) of the Industrial Security Sector (ISS), Public Works and Government Services (PWGSC).
