Trade Agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) Tendering Procedures: The bidder must supply Canadian goods and/or services Attachment: YES (MERX) Electronic Competitive Procurement Strategy: Best Overall Proposal Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: MOVING SERVICES CFB HALIFAX The Department of National Defence (DND) unit Transportation, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (TEME) is in the process of amalgamating some of their operations to a new building, located at 3367 Windsor Street, Halifax, NS. This building is commonly referred to as WL57. The building has been recently constructed. The building is ready to commence its phased occupancy starting February 2014. Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) on behalf of DND require a number of relocations from various buildings within Willow Park to the new building located at WL57. The bulk of the relocation will entail several industrial shop moves totalling thirteen (13) shops of various sizes, twenty three (23) offices and one (1) fitness room. This relocation will occur over multiple move dates. Timing of the moves is over a period of approximately six (6) weeks starting no earlier that 3 February 2014 and completed no later than 31 March 2014. Work under this service contract comprises the furnishing of all labour, material, equipment, tools and supervision required for the provision of moving services. Mandatory Site Visit It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for site visit to be held on January 07, 2014, 09 ;00 at CFB Willow Park, Windsor Street, Halifax. Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than 2 day(s) before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance and provide the names of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders will be required to sign an attendance form. Bidders should confirm in their bids that they have attended the site visit. Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment and their bids will be rejected as non-compliant. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation. Attendees at the site visit will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment. Saftey boots/shoes, hard hats and googles will be required for entry to the site. The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT). The requirement is soley limited to Canadian services. This office provides service in English. Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
