Trade Agreement: Set-Aside Program for Aboriginal Business (SPAB) Tendering Procedures: If 2+ bids offer Canadian goods/services other bids will not be considered Competitive Procurement Strategy: Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Unexploded Explosive Ordnance Removal EN438-167003/B Choquette, Herb Telephone No. - (613) 536-4874 ( ) Fax No. - (613) 545-8067 ( ) The Department of National Defence requires one Task Authorization Contract (TAC) to conduct Unexploded Explosive Ordnance (UXO) risk management, risk mitigation and site characterization activities at legacy sites and other property owned by the Department of National Defence located throughout Canada excluding locations within Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Quebec, and Labrador that are subject to Comprehensive Land Claims Agreements (CLCAs). Any requirement for deliveries within CLCAs areas within Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Quebec, or Labrador will be solicited under a separate procurement, outside of this Request for Proposal. There are no security requirements associated with this requirement. This solicitaton is a Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business. For more information on Aboriginal business requirements of the Set-aside Program for Aboriginal Business see Annex 9.4 of the Supply Manual. This procurement is set aside from the international trade agreements under the provision each has for set-asides for small and minority businesses. Further to Article 1802 of the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT), AIT does not apply to this procurement. Bidders' Conference A bidders' conference will be held at 180 Kent Street. Ottawa, Ontario on 7 September 2016. The conference will begin at 13:00 EDT, in room 16-087. Bidders should sign in 15-30 min in advance with security on 15F and be escorted to meeting room 16-087. Bidders may participate in the bidders’ conference by telephoning Teleconference: 1 877-413-4790 and entering the Teleconference # 8092520. The scope of the requirement outlined in the bid solicitation will be reviewed during the conference and questions will be answered. It is recommended that bidders who intend to submit a bid attend or send a representative. Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority before the conference to confirm attendance. Bidders should provide, in writing, to the Contracting Authority, the name(s) of the person(s) who will be attending and a list of issues they wish to table no later than 2 September 2016 at 14:00 EDT. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the bidders' conference will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation. Bidders who do not attend will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
