Trade Agreement: CETA / CFTA Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: CCGS Cove Isle-Winter Refit 2019/2020 F2599-195099/A Pandini, Madeleine Telephone No. - (819) 420-1593 Requirement: To carry out the alongside refit of the Canadian Coast Guard Vessel CCGS Cove Isle in accordance with the associated technical information as detailed in Annex A. The winter refit will include: - inspection of the portable fire extinguishers, fixed fire suppression equipment and fire detection equipment, - inspection of propulsion engines and transmission, - fuel lines installation - Electrical circuits’ insulation tests, - Heating and ventilation system cleaning and component inspection - deck crane inspection - davit crane design, build and installation - lifeboat cradle design, build and installation - additional work resulting from inspections Bidders' Conference (optional): A bidders' Conference chaired by the Contracting Authority will be held at the Canadian Coast Guard Base Parry Sound, 28 Waubeek St, Parry Sound, ON, P2A 1B9 on December 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM. Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than three (3) Working Days before the scheduled conference to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. All visitors must have valid identification and must report to the Commissionaire at the Main Gate, where they will sign in and be directed to the Bidders Conference. Site Visit - Vessel (optional): The viewing will take place on December 19, 2019 at 9:00 AM at at the Canadian Coast Guard Base Parry Sound, 28 Waubeek St, Parry Sound, ON, P2A 1B9. Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than three (3) Working Days before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. All visitors must have valid identification and must report to the Commissionaire at the Main Gate, where they will sign in and be directed to the CCGS Cove Isle. Bidder are required to wear safety boots while onboard the vessel. Work must commence and be completed as follows: Work Commence: January 27, 2020 Work Complete: March 20, 2020 Sourcing Strategy: The sourcing strategy related to this procurement will be limited to suppliers in Eastern Canada Region, in accordance with the Shipbuilding, Refit, Repair and Modernization Policy, and is subject to the Canadian Free Trade Agreement. This procurement is exempt from NAFTA [see Chapter 10, Annex 1001.2b, paragraph 1 (a)] and from the WTO-AGP (see Annex 4).
