Description
Trade Agreement: NONE Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: No Responses to Bid Solicitation Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Making a workspace safe on the CCGS Corporal McLaren M.M.V F7044-190262/A Pilon, Chantal Telephone No. (819) 420-2914 The CCGS Corporal McLaren M.M.V. is a Hero class vessel built and placed in service in 2013. Its home port is at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia (NS). The vessel underwent a major flooding incident in 2018 and requires a major rebuild involving the replacement of nearly the entire electrical system, much of the mechanical systems and a rebuild of the accommodations as well as the spaces located on the lower and main decks, which were submerged in water. The first phase of the rebuild is the removal of porous materials contaminated with water, mould, fuel, oil, or other contaminants to allow for safe access to all spaces of the vessel by contractors and Government personnel. The vessel is currently considered a dead ship with none of the ship’s systems available and operable. The vessel is currently docked alongside at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography in Dartmouth, NS. As a result, the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG), through this Request for Information (RFI), is seeking the participation of subject matter experts to help develop a Statement of Work (SoW) for services of a Contractor to make the vessel clean and safe such that it is suitable for personnel to view and work in for the other phase of the rebuild. Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
