EW479-150546 HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL

This published notice is not a solicitation.  This document does not offer any commitments with respect to future purchases or contracts.

The purpose of this notice is to inform industry, government departments and government agencies that Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is cancelling the current Supply Arrangements under EW479-150546 Hazardous Waste Disposal.  

PSPC has issued new supply arrangements under the Request for Supply Arrangement (RFSA) EW479-162880 to replace the older Supply Arrangements. On Wednesday 1 March 2017, the new supply arrangements will come into effect and the older supply arrangement will be cancelled.

The decision to replace the current Supply Arrangement is based on the following objectives:

1) Encourage additional contractors to qualify as Supply Arrangement holders in all regions of Canada.

2) Include conditions for requirements that are applicable to Comprehensive Land Claim Agreements (CLCAs) or theProcurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business (PSAB).

3) Re-evaluate the dollar threshold for the new Supply Arrangements.  Further detail is included in the new RFSA for EW479-162880/B Hazardous Waste Disposal Services.

4) Clarify which particulartypes of hazardous waste are included in, or excludedfrom, the scope of work.

Suppliers that are interested in holding a new supply arrangement may take advantage of the ongoing opportunity for qualification.  The RFSA EW479-162880/B is currently accessible on the Government Electronic Tendering Service (GETS) at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders.
