    Block 2 - Construction Management Services
    
    1. Purpose and Nature of the Advance Procurement Notice
    
    The objective of this advanced procurement notice (APN) is for Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) to:
    a) Notify industry about an anticipated upcoming opportunity for Construction Management Services providers; and
    b) Provide industry with lead time to prepare for the upcoming opportunity.
    
    This APN is neither a Request for Qualification (RFQ), a call for tender nor a Request for Proposal (RFP).  No agreement or contract will be entered into based on this APN.  The issuance of this APN is not to be considered in any way a commitment by the Government of Canada (Canada), nor as authority to industry to undertake any work that could be charged to Canada.  This APN is not to be considered as a commitment to issue a subsequent solicitation or award contract(s) for the work described herein.
    
    2.Background and Scope of Services
    
    2.1. Background
    
    PWGSC is planning the redevelopment of Block 2, the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation, stewardship of the Kitchissippi and its tributaries.  The Project is part of the Long Term Vision and Plan (LTVP) for the Parliamentary Precinct, the symbolic centrepiece of the City of Ottawa and country, and host to Canada's legislatures: the Senate of Canada and the House of Commons, as well as the Library of Parliament.
    
    2.2. Scope of Services
    
    Construction management services in a resulting contract may include and are not limited to:
    a) Administration and management services;
    b) Planning and implementation services such as:
      a. Design review (design submission and design package review); 
      b. Heritage conservation;
      c. Digital delivery;
      d. Quality management;
      e. Cost management;
      f. Time management;
      g. Risk management;
      h. Human resource management;
      i. Health and safety management;
      j. Procurement management; and 
      k. Waste and sustainability management;
    c) Construction and conservation services and work; and 
    d) Post-construction services and work.
    
    3. Note to Suppliers
    
    To give PWGSC an indication of the level of industry interest, PWGSC requests that interested suppliers either e-mail the PWGSC Contracting Authority or join the public list of interested suppliers on this APN’s page of buyandsell.gc.ca.
