    The purpose of amendment 008 is to extend the bid closing date by two (2) weeks due to a case of “Force Majeure” related to the flood situation in the National Capital Region
    
    Amendment 007 is raised to answer questions from potential bidders.
    
    REQUIREMENT:
    The Contractor is required to provide Canada for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) with Gloves, Slash Resistant, Unisex in accordance with the Purchase Description dated 2016-07-07, in Annex “B” of the solicitation document.
    
    CONTRACT FIRM QUANTITIES:
    Item1 - 4200pairs of gloves
    
    ESTIMATED QUANTITY ("AS AND WHEN REQUESTED") 
    Item 2 - 3000 pairs of gloves
    
    The estimated quantities maybe ordered on an "as & when requested" basis by the RCMP for a period of 36 months from the effective date of the contract award date.
    
    OPTIONS:
    This requirement also includes three (3) optionsto purchase additional quantities as follows:
    Option 1: item 3 - 1600 pairs of gloves
    Option 2: item 4 - 1600 pairs of gloves
    Option 3: item 5 - 1600 pairs of gloves
    
    Option 1 canbe exercised within 12 monthsfrom the contractaward date.
    Option 2 can beexercised within 24 months from the contract award date.
    Option 2 can be exercised within 36 months from the contract award date.
    
    
    MANDATORY TECHNICALCRITERIA - PRE-AWARD SAMPLES AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION:
    As part of the technical evaluation, to confirm a Bidder's capability of meeting the technical requirements, pre-award samples and test reports must be included with the bid. 
    
    One pair of glove of each size(6, 7, 8,9, 10 and 11) and accompanying test reports will be evaluated against the mandatory criteria as detailed in Annex C of the solicitation document. 
    
    POINT RATED TECHNICAL EVALUATIONAND END USER TRIAL EVALUATION:
    A Point RatedTechnical Evaluation and End User Trial will be completed solely on bids deemed compliant in the Mandatory Technical Evaluation.
    
    The Bidder must also provide "End User Trial Samples" with the bid at no cost to Canada.  Failure to submit the End User Trial Samples with the bid will result in the bid being declared non-responsive. The Bidder must ensure the samples are manufactured in accordance with the technical requirements and are fully representative of the bid submitted. Details on how many End User Trial Samples are required are available by downloading the complete solicitation document.
    
    CANADIAN CONTENT POLICY:
    The requirement is subject to a preference for Canadian goods.
