This Notice Amendment is to update the completion date per below.  


Public Works and Government Services Canada on behalf of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) has a requirement for work which includes the reconstruction of the west breakwater structure at New Harbour, Nova Scotia.  Work specifically includes, but is not limited to:
• Dredging of harbour as per Project Drawings.
• Demolition and removal of existing failing ballasted timber crib block and span wharf and deck.
• Construction of new rubble-mound shore protection and retaining walls.
• Construction of new timber crib inner wharf complete with crushed rock mattress, rock ballast as noted, reinforced concrete deck..
• Construction of new steel pile outer wharf complete with concrete deck and closed faced pile sheathing.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

It is recommended the bidders visit the site and its surroundings and verify the form, nature and extent of the work, the means to access the site, severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions and in general obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances prior to submitting a bid. 

Bidders must refer to Section 01 35 29  Health and Safety Requirements, Project/Site Conditions of specifications before performing any site inspection or preliminary work on site.

The estimated value for this opportunity is in the range of:  $1M to $5M
