The work under this contract consists of the steel sheet pile
reinforcement at the Saint John Ferry Terminal, Saint John, New
Brunswick. An existing steel sheet pile sheathing wall that
provides wave protection for the Saint John Ferry berth is
deteriorating.  It is proposed to reinforce the wall by driving
steel H-piles and installing a new wale system. All work is to
be performed in accordance with the Plans and Specifications No.
R.051108.001 forming part of the bid document.  

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  New measures related to Code of Conduct and
certifications included in the solicitation documents requires
attention

A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit,
Room 421, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B.

Work to be completed within twenty-six (26) weeks after contract
award.

The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following
category: $500,001 - $1,000,000 (HST extra).

  Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no

Standard bid and contract security for construction is required.

Pursuant to GC6 - Delays and Changes in Work of the General
Conditions, the resulting construction contract will include the
provisions for changes in the work at the request of the
Departmental Representative.  

Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain

when issued, will be available from the MERX provider.  Firms
that elect to base their bids on tender documents obtained from
other sources do so at their own risk and will be solely
responsible to inform the tender calling authority of their
intention to bid.
