    Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement
    for the following:  1. Installation of new diesel generator
    including but limited to generator, sub-base fuel tanks,
    enclosure, concrete slab, security fence, automatic transfer
    switch, and hardware; 2.  Trenching and installation of new
    underground wiring in conduit; 3. Connection of new diesel
    generator to new automatic transfer switch in electrical room;
    4. Connection of 120V circuits to battery charger, block heater,
    and generator heater; and 5. Installation of security fence. 
    This requirement is for the RCMP Detachment, 1269 Route 776,
    Grand Manan, N.B. as well as the RCMP Detachment, 530 Main
    Street, Hampton, N.B.  All work is to be performed in accordance
    with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Numbers
    R.061867.002 and R.061867.003 forming part of the bid document.
    The contract completion is fourteen (14) weeks after contract
    award.
    
    IMPORTANT NOTICE:  New measures related to Integrity Provisions
    are included in the solicitation documents requires attention.  
    A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit,
    Room 405, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B. 
    The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following
    category: $250,001.00 - $500,000.00 (HST not included). Standard
    bid and contract security for construction is required.
    SECURITY RELATED REQUIREMENTS:   The Bidder must hold a valid
    Designated Organization Screening (DOS) issued by the Canadian
    Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and
    Government Services Canada (PWGSC), TO BE INCLUDED WITH THEIR
    TENDER OR PRIOR TO CONTRACT AWARD.  Verifications will be made
    through CISD to confirm the security clearance status of the
    Bidder.   The mandatory security requirements are found under
    SC01 of the Supplementary Conditions.  Failure to comply with
    this requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no
    further consideration will be given to the Bid.
    
    SECURITY CLEARANCE RELATED REQUIREMENTS:
    The following security requirement (SRCL and related clauses)
    applies and form part of the Contract.
    
    1.      The Contractor/Offeror must, at all times during the
    performance of the Contract/Standing Offer, hold a valid
    Designated Organization Screening (DOS), issued by the Canadian
    Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and
    Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
    
    2.      The Contractor/Offeror personnel requiring access to
    sensitive work site(s) must EACH hold a valid RELIABILITY
    STATUS, granted or approved by  CISD/PWGSC.
    
    3.  	Subcontracts which contain security requirements are NOT to
    be awarded without the prior written permission of CISD/PWGSC.
    
    4.  	The Contractor/Offeror must comply with the provisions of
    the:
    
    	(a) Security Requirements Check List and security guide (if
    applicable), attached at Annex A.
    	(b) Industrial Security Manual (Latest Edition).
