Public Works and GovernmentServices Canada has requirement for the construction of a multi function building and the reconstruction of the existing building at the South Esk Science Facility, South Esk, Northumberland County, New Brunswick. The work will consist of but will not be limited to the following: (1) Clear, grub and rough grade to extent indicated; (2) Construction of the new multi-function building, including water, sewer and other site services, excavating, trenching and backfilling, concrete foundations and slabs, rough and finished carpentry, roof trusses, siding, metal roofing, thermal and moisture protection, windows, doors, interior finishes, mechanical and electrical systems and all work as indicated on documents; (3) Renovations to the Accommodation Buildingincluding rough and finish carpentry, metal roofing, thermal protetion, windows, doors, interior finishes, mechanical and electrical systems and all work as indicated on documents. All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Number R.077932.001 forming part of the bid document. The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within twenty-two (22) weeks of award. There will be an optional site visit on June 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.. All interestedbidders are to meet at the South Esk Science Facility, Department of Fisheries & Oceans, 477 Route 420, South Esk, New Brunswick. Although not mandatory, all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the work. It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the Work required and the existing conditions. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation. Please note that this will be the only site visit for this project. No other site visits will be arranged during the tender period. New measures related to Code of Conductand certifications included in the solicitation documents requires attention. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: $1,000,001- $1,500,000 (HST included). Standard bid and contract security for construction isrequired. Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain tender documents through the Government Electronic Tendering System (GETS). Addenda, when issued, will be available on GETS.
