    Public Services and Procurement Canada has a requirement for a contract, which consists of but will not necessarily be limited to, the following:
    
    Work under this contract on the Administrative Building portion of the facility includes demolition of existing walls to create a new floor plan within an existing workspace. This work will encompass demolition, doors, ceiling panels, painting, mechanical, electrical, data and communications, and structural work. 
    
    All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Number R.104486.001 forming part of the bid document.  
    The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within (12) weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
    There will be two optional site visits on July 14, 2020 and July 15, 2020. Although not mandatory, all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the work. Contractors interested in participating in the site visit are required to register with the Contracting Authority in advance by e-mail at edward.johnston@pwgsc.gc.ca by no later than 4:00 pm on July 10, 2020. The Contracting Authority will assign a specific time slot. The contractors representative must not have travelled internationally in the past 14 days, must not have symptoms of COVID-19, and must respect physical distancing measures while on site. The Departmental Representative will show the site to one contractor representative at a time (one-on-one). All bidder questions will be submitted to the Contracting Authority and answered by solicitation amendment/addendum following the site visit.
    Bidders are to meet at the Main Entrance of the Mactaquac Fish Hatchery, 114 Fish Hatchery Lane, French Village, NB, 10 minutes prior to their specific time slot.
    
    The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following cost category: greater than $250,001 - $500,000 (HST excluded). Standard bid and contract security for the construction is required.
    
    IMPORTANT NOTICE:  Due to the COVID-19 situation, all public tender openings are suspended until further notice.  Bid results will be recorded on the bid results line; the phone number is indicated in the Invitation to Tender.  Bidders can continue to hand-deliver their tenders, however, please monitor Buyandsell.gc.ca closely as changes to bid closing dates and bid delivery locations may be necessary.

Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond. Inquiries are to be made in accordance with S102 - Enquiries During The Solicitation Period, under Special Instructions To Bidders in the solicitation document.  Standard bid and contract security for construction is required.
    
    Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain tender documents through the Government Electronic Tendering System (GETS). Addenda, when issued, will be available on GETS.  Standard terms and conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference, and form part of the tender and contract documents. The standard documents are issued by Public Works and Government Services and may be viewed at buyandsell.gc.ca.
