    Construction of Solid Waste Centre - Springhill Institution
    
    Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement
    for the consolidation of a solid waste centre at the Springhill
    Institution, Springhill, Nova Scotia. The work consists of, but
    is not limted to, the following:The supply and installation of
    all products, services, labour, materials and equipment required
    to complete the project. In addition, site utility services for
    potable water, sanitary and storm sewers, electrical,
    communication, and the district hot water system are to be
    extended to the Solid Waste Management Building from existing
    services All work is to be performed in accordance with the
    plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Number R.043944.001
    forming part of the bid document. The contract completion is
    forty (40) weeks after contract award
    
    It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
    Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the Work
    required and the existing conditions. There will be an optional
    site visit on September 16, 2014 at 10:00 am. All interested
    bidders are to meet at  the main entrance of the Springhill
    Institution, Springhill, Nova Scotia. Although not mandatory,
    all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are
    encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the
    work. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation
    resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment
    to the bid solicitation. Please note that there is a security
    clearance required for this site visit. ALL interested bidders,
    regardless of current clearance level, must submit the
    Institution Access CPIC Clearance request form attached as Annex
    C of the Invitation to Tender document by 4:00 pm September 2,
    2014.  If you plan to bring a camera to the visit, you must also
    provide, make, model, and serial number of camera by this date.
    New measures related to Code of Conduct and certifications
    included in the solicitation documents requires attention. 
    A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit,
    Room 421, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B. 
    The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following
    category: $2,000,001 - $2,500,000 (HST extra). Standard bid and
    contract security for construction is required.

    Bidders in the solicitation document. Standard bid and contract
    security for construction is required.
