Wharf Removal and Disposal

Public Works and Government Services Canada has requirement for the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and materials for the complete wharf removal and revetment at the Chocolate Cove Wharf and the Richardson Wharf both located on Deer Island, New Brunswick In general, the Work at both wharves consists of the complete demolition, removal and disposal of the Chocolate Cove Wharf and the supply and installation of core, filter and armour stone for a section of revetment. 


All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Numbers R.101030.001 and R101031.001 forming part of the bid document.  The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work by March 31, 2019.

All parties tendering should visit the site of the work prior to submission of tenders and makes themselves thoroughly acquainted with site conditions, conditions of existing objects to be removed, tides, degree of exposure and all information necessary for the proper carrying out of the work covered by the drawings and specifications. Submission of tender will be deemed that contractor is conversant with site conditions. The Departmental Representative will give no consideration whatsoever to any claim by the Contractor resulting from failure to have made all the necessary investigations prior to tendering.

New measures related to Integrity provisions included in the solicitation documents requires attention.

The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following cost category: $500,001 to $1,000,000 (HST extra). Standard bid and contract security for the construction is required.
