Common Area Carpet Replacement - Joseph A. Ghiz Building, Summerside, Prince Edward Island

Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement for the common area carpet replacement at the Joseph A. Ghiz Building located in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. In general, the work consists of removal of existing carpet tile and carpet wall base and installation of new carpet tile and rubber cove wall base. 

All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Number R.100709.001 forming part of the bid document.  The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work by July 31, 2019.

It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the Work required and the existing conditions. There will be an optional site visit on Thursday, February 28th, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Interested bidders are to meet inside the main lobby of the Joseph A. Ghiz Memorial Building at 275 Pope Road, Summerside, PE. Interested bidders should provide name(s) of those attending in writing to the Contracting Authority named below no later than Wednesday, February 27th, 2019 at 4:00 pm.

Although not mandatory, all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the work. Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following cost category: $100,001 to $500,000 (HST extra). Standard bid and contract security for the construction is required.


A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit: Sherwood Business centre, 161 St. Peters Road,2nd Floor, Suite 204,  Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
