Work under this contract consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, the provision of all plant, materials, labour and equipment, as needed for the completion of the site remediation. Work will also consist of the removal & disposal of leachable lead contaminated soils and wood siding. Installation of replacement wood siding & Class "A" as backfill where soils were removed and Class "A" as road overlay at the Cape Pine Lightstation, Newfoundland. Bidders must refer to R2710T GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - CONSTRUCTION SERVICES - BID SECURITY REQUIREMENTS (GI) (2014-06-26) for the Integrity Provisions applicable to this requirement. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: It is recommended that the bidder or authorized representative visit the site to familiarize themselves with all existing conditions as they apply to the Scope of Work. All individuals planning to visit the site are required to provide their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The PPE shall include as a minium safety glasses, safety boots and safety hats.
