    Fire Alarm Upgrade - Nova Institution, Truro, NS
    
    Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement for the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and materials to upgrade the existing fire alarm system. This includes the removal and reinstatement of ceilings and walls as required to perform the work, making good all ceilings that are damaged during the renovation, patching and painting of gypsum board ceilings as required with paint to match existing.
    - Replacement of existing fire alarm panels.
    - Replacement of existing fire alarm transponders.
    - Replacement of existing fire alarm graphic annunciators.
    - Replacement of existing addressable alarm initiating devices where indicated.
    - Replacement of existing audible and/or visible signal devices where indicated.
    - Installation of new addressable alarm initiating devices where indicated.
    - Installation of new audible and/or visible signal devices where indicated.
    - Maintenance of fire alarm coverage as much as possible during performance of the work, and provision of a fire watch when coverage is interrupted.
    
    The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following cost category: greater than $100,001 - $500,000 (HST excluded). Standard bid and contract security for the construction is required.
    
    A bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit, Room 4479, 4th floor, 1045 Main Street, MONCTON, N.B. All public tender openings are suspended until further notice.  Bid results will be recorded on the bid results line; the phone number is indicated in the Invitation to Tender.  Bidders can continue to hand-deliver their tenders, however, please monitor Buyandsell.gc.ca closely as changes to bid closing dates and bid delivery locations may be necessary.
    
    Inquiries:  All inquiries of a technical nature and all questions of a contractual nature are to be submitted in writing to the Contractual Authority: Sandra Lomax, telephone - (506) 639-8503, email - Sandra.lomax@pwgsc.gc.ca.  Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond. Inquiries are to be made in accordance with S102 - Enquiries During The Solicitation Period, under Special Instructions To Bidders in the solicitation document.  Standard bid and contract security for construction is required.
