    EXTENSION OF TIME
    Notice is hereby given that the closing date for the reception
    of tenders previously due 21 October 2014 is extended to 14:00
    hours, 28 October 2014.	
    
    Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) on behalf of
    Transport Canada 340-100 Princess Street, Thunder Bay, Ontario
    P7E 6S2 requires excavation and removal of soil and waste debris
    located at the Thunder Bay International Airport, Firefighting
    Training Area.  The work comprises clearing of trees and
    underbrush to gain access to the dumpsite, construction of a
    gate for the existing fenced area and grading or construction of
    an access road beyond the gate.  Included in this work is the
    off-site disposal of non-hazardous and hazardous waste,
    backfilling, slope stabilization and erosion control, and
    reinstatement of the excavated area.
    
    There will be an MANDATORY site visit on October 08, 2014 at
    10:00 a.m. It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative
    of the Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the
    Work required and the existing conditions.  Bidders are to meet
    at Thunder Bay International Airport Authority (TBIAA), 340
    Hector Dougall Way.  
    
    Safety boots are recommended for the site walk through.
    
    Bidders are requested to register with the Contracting
    Authority, Mary Caporusso, at (416) 512-5859 or e-mail:
    mary.caporusso@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca, two (2) days before the
    scheduled visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of
    the person(s) who will attend.  The Bidder or their
    Representative will be required to sign Site Visit Attendance
    Sheet at the visit.  Bidders or their Representatives who do not
    attend will not be given an alternative appointment and will be
    precluded from submitting a bid.  Bids submitted by Bidders who
    have not signed the attendance sheet will not be accepted.  
    
    Bid Security is a requirement for this tender.
    
    The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within eight
    (8) weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the
    offer.
