Trade Agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Project No. R.074203.001 Leamington, ON - Point Pelee National Park, Phase II Northwest Beach Construction Extension of Time Notice is hereby given that the closing date for the reception of tenders previously due on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 is extended to Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 14:00 hours. Point Pelee Northwest Beach Improvements Project includes the following major elements: Construction of three (3) buildings Construction of a Septic System Construction of a Playground Site Development to connect with existing parking lot and NW Beach Service connections to existing systems Buildings are located along East side of existing, paved, parking lot. There is two distinctive types of building, Comfort Stations (Building B and C)and Rental Structure (Building A). Services, water and power conduits, are extended to the area and in close proximity to the buildings. Both Comfort Stations (Building B and C) are very similar to each other but are differently oriented. All three buildings share same type of construction with minor differences due to size and function. Buildings are to serve only during the main season, extended into transitional seasons, protecting from wind and elements of inclement weather but are not intended to be used over winters and cold weather with temperatures below 0º C. Buildings are designed to be winterized (provision for heat is only to avoid damage to plumbing system during unexpected drops intemperature below zero). Northwest Beach is exposed to highwinds and related to them blowing sand and water. High level of attention to detail is required to ensure durability of systems installed. OPTIONAL SITE VISIT Optional site visit is scheduled for Friday, August 12th 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interested bidders are to meet at Point Pelee National Park, Northwest Beach, new parking lot, 1118 Point Pelee Dr., Leamington, Ontario N8H 3V4. Bidders should communicate with the Contracting Authorityprior to the site meeting and provide name(s) of individualsattending. The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within 22 weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
