TITLE:  JOYCEVILLE, ON - WATER TREATMENT PLANT REPAIRS

Extension of Time
Notice is hereby given that the closing date for the reception of tenders previously due on 10 October 2017 is extended to 17 October 2017 at 14:00 hours.

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) on behalf of Correctional Services Canada, requires repair work to the Joyceville Water Treatment Plant located at 3766 Highway 15, Joyceville, Ontario.

SCOPE OF WORK
The work consists of the removal of four 4) submersible pumps and controls to be replaced by two (2) VFD controlled vertical well pumps to transfer treated water to the granular activated carbon (GAC) tanks. The GAC tanks are to be stripped down, re-coated, the media replace and the tank re-built. Additionally, a new backwash magnetic flow meter is to be installed with new process piping and valves. This work shall be in accordance with Specification Project No. 450-2431, dated 2017-05-02 and drawings.

COMPLETION TIME
The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within eight (8) weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.

MANDATORY SITE VISIT
There will be a site visit on Wednesday,September 20,2017 at 10:00 a.m.  Interested bidders are to meet at Joyceville Institution - Minimum Security Principal Entrance building, 3766 Highway 15, Joyceville, Ontario.

The site visit for this project is MANDATORY.  The representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will be rejected.

Bidders will be required to register with the Contracting Authority prior to the site meeting and provide name(s) of individuals attending, no later than 3:00 p.m.  Friday, September 15, 2017. CSC requires at  prior notice to ensure gate passes are issued.  Identification MUST be brought to the site meeting otherwise there will be no access.

Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
