Work of this contract comprises abatement of asbestos containing materials and lead-based paint from the exterior and interior of various buildings located at three separate areas of Sunday Point on Patterson Island in the Slate Islands, Lake Superior, Ontario. Generally, abated materials will need replacement. Debris piles found at various locations across Sunday Point will be removed from the site. All waste will be disposed of off-property in appropriate waste facilities. 

There will be a site visit on Wednesday July 19th, 2017 at 8:00am. Interested bidders are to meet at Terrace Bay Boat Launch. Transport to the site will be provided for one company representative only and intent to attend the site visit must be provided by Tuesday July 18th at 12:00pm. 

The site visit for this project is MANDATORY.  The representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will be rejected.

Mandatory health and safety protection to be worn by visitors to the site visit include: steel-toe boots, a hardhat, safety glasses, pants, and a high-visibility vest.
