Phased full depth reconstruction of ~5.5km of Point Pelee Drive; 2. Phased milling and resurfacing of ~1.5km of Point Pelee Drive; 3. Construction of three new vehicle lay-bys (~55m/46m/30m long by ~3m wide); 4. Various existing asphalt crack and access pit repairs as indicated on drawings; 5. Coordination with third-party utilities and Parks Canada for the decommissioning of ~5.0km of above ground utility corridor; 6. Construction of ~5.0km of new PRIVATE 3-phase, high voltage direct buried underground power within cleared archeological zone, including construction of new pad-mount transformers and connections to existing; 7. Construction of ~4.5km of new Bell Canada underground infrastructure by Bell Approved Contractor; 8. Construction of ~7.0km of new communication underground infrastructure 9. Coordination with third party utilities for the commissioning of ~5.0km of underground utility corridor; Special consideration and careful review should be given to, but not limited to the following items in the contract documents: 1. Existing groundwater conditions; 2. Existing soil conditions; 3. Archeological considerations; 4. Road reconstruction phasing; 5. Species at risk locations; 6. Minimized impact to existing vegetation; 7. Construction schedule and mandated stop work periods; 8. Minimized visitor/vehicle disruption, maintain two-way vehicle access throughout the park except when one-way access is safely implemented and localized; Optional Site Visit There will be an optional site visit held on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interested bidders are to meet at main entrance of the Park. CONSTRUCTION TIME The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within (52) weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer. Construction Period: 52 weeks from award of contract, included in this time frame is 3 months (13 weeks) of shut down for winter, 3 weeks of shut down from May 1st to 18th due to operational requirements in the Park. Delivery Date: 19/09/2019 The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
