Trade Agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) Tendering Procedures: Attachment: YES (MERX) Electronic Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Kingston, On - Pittsburgh Institution - New 50 Bed Living Units Scope of Work The work consists of construction for a new 50-Bed Minimum Security Unit at Pittsburgh Institution, Kingston, Ontario. The work is to be performed in accordance with Specifications and Drawings entitled Project No. R.045087.001. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO BIDDERS Refer to the Special Instructions to Bidders SI01 paragraph 3 (and Appendices 1 and 2) for requirements related to the Code of Conduct for Procurement. MANDATORY SITE VISIT: A MANDATORY site visit will be held on August 22, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. Interested bidders are to meet at the site, front entrance of Pittsburgh Institution. The site visit for this project is MANDATORY. The representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit attendance sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be accepted. Bidders must register with the Contracting Officer, Bob Hassell at 416-590-8270 or email bob.hassell@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca, to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend, 24 hours prior to the site visit. The duration of work is scheduled to be completed fifty-two (52) weeks from date of award. Closing date: September 18, 2012, 14:00 HOURS. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following cost category: Greater than $5,000,000.00. Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard paper version. Tenderers should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1) contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized directory structure. Standard Terms and Conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference into, and form part of the Tender and Contract Documents.
