    Scope of Work
    Work of this contract comprises of repairs and upgrades to two recognized heritage lighthouses located on Manitoulin Island at Mississagi Strait west of Meldrum Bay and Janet Head north of Gore Bay. The repairs required are as follows: New cedar shingles, metal roof assembly repairs, flashing repairs, chimney reconstruction, miscellaneous trim repairs, repaint cast iron panels, replacement of glass panes, interior and exterior cleaning to lantern room, new siding and underlayment, painting, perimeter structural wood beam investigation, repair of stone foundation, repointing mortar joints, damp proofing and installation of foundation drainage barrier and weeping tiles, various wood window and door repairs and or replacement, scraping/sanding/painting, vinyl window repairs, repair of interior plaster, repairs andmodifications to railings and stairs, regrading. 
    
    MANDATORY SITE VISIT 
    There will be a Mandatory site visit on 26 July 2016 at 11:15am. The meeting location is at the secure gate to the Mississagi Straits Lighthouse locatedoutside the entrance to Lafarge Canada quarry on the south side of the road. The lighthouse is location at the extreme west end of Manitoulin Island. Follow Highway 540 towards Meldrum Bay, then take left just past White Sea Resort onto Mississagi Lighthouse Road. The Lighthouse is located 12 km west of Meldrum Bay. The visit to Janet Head will follow after the visit to Mississagi Strait. Janet Head Lighthouse is approximately a 1 hour drive from Mississagi Strait Lighthouse.
     The site visit for this project is MANDATORY.  The representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be accepted. Itis mandatory that the bidder attendthe mandatory site visit at the designated date andtimeto examine the scope of the work required and the existing conditions. Bidders are requested to register with the Contracting Officer, Bob Hassell at bob.hassell@pwgsc.gc.ca or 416-590-8270, to confirm their attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend, 24 hours prior to the site visit. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
    
    The duration of work is 10 weeks from issuance of Award Letter.

    Bidders should provide, with their bid or promptly thereafter, a complete list of names of all individuals who are currently directors of the Bidder.  If such a list has not been received by the time the evaluation of bids is completed, Canada will inform the Bidder of a time frame within which to providethe information.  Failure to provide such a list within the required time frame will render the bid non-responsive.  Bidders must always submit the list of directors before contract award. Canada may, at any time, request that a Bidder provide properly completed and Signed Consent Forms (Consent to a Criminal Record Verification form - PWGSC-TPSGC 229) for any or all individuals named in the aforementioned list withina specified delay. Failure to provide such Consent Forms within the delay will result in the bid being declared non-responsive.
