    The Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Research and Development Facility in Lacombe, Alberta requires a general contractor, familiar with working in Level 2 containment facilities, to demolish the existing laboratory and rebuild it to comply with current legislation. The current laboratory will have to be demolished, and all abatement, transport and disposal costs will have to be considered.
    
    The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).
    
    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $1,000,001 and $5,000,000.

     OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
    
    1. There will be a site visit on August 19, 2020. Interested bidders are to meet at:

    2. Bidders interested in participating in the site visit are required to register with the Contracting Authority in advance by email (e-mail address is alex.tikhonovitch@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca) and provide names of people attending and their discipline. Maximum one person per company. 
    
    3. The Contracting Authority will assign each bidder a specific time slot.
    
    4. To make sure everyone gets the same information questions will not be taken or answered during the site visit. All bidder questions must be submitted to the Contracting Authority in writing and will be answered by solicitation amendment/addendum following the site visit.
    
    5. Additional restrictions include: The Bidder’s representative must not have travelled internationally in the past 14 days, must not have symptoms of COVID-19, and must respect physical distancing measures while on site.
    
    6. Additional site visits will not be scheduled.

    A visitor pass is required to access PSPC bid receiving to deliver a bid in-person.
    
    A visitor pass can be obtained at the commissionaire/information desk in the main lobby of Canada Place.

    **Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage physical distancing, the bid receiving unit in Edmonton will remain open but with limited staff and limited hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 9 am to 11 am and Tuesday, 9 am to 2 pm (local time). 
    Public tender openings will be suspended until further notice. Following solicitation closing, bid results will be recorded and may be obtained by e-mailing a request to the address indicated in the Invitation to Tender.
