Title:  Esquimalt Veterans Cemetery Expansion

Work Description:
Work to be done under this Contract covers the expansion of the existing God’s Acre Veterans Cemetery, located on Veterans Drive within Gorge Vale Golf Course, Victoria, BC.  Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following:
1.) Selective clearing of an existing woodland, including tree removals;
2.) Removal and stockpiling of existing ornamental metal fencing;
3.) Installation of subsurface drainage and a water supply line;
4.) Construction of a concrete plaza with stone clad retaining walls;
5.) Construction of footings for future columbaria;
6.) Construction of a gravel path;
7.) Supply and installation of new perimeter fencing to match existing;
8.) Supply and installation of growing medium, and
9.) Supply and planting of trees, shrubs and groundcover. 

Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules within the scope of work.

Mandatory Site Visit:
Contractors are required to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work. A MANDATORY site visit is scheduled on Friday, January 13th, 2017 at 11:00am local time, at the God’s Acre Veterans Cemetery, located on Veterans Drive within Gorge Vale Golf Course, Victoria, BC. A maximum of two (2) representatives per bidder will be permitted to examine the sites. 

Delivery Date:
The work shall commence immediately upon official notification of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to be completed within sixteen (16) weeks from Contract Award.

Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements this project is estimated to cost around $475,000.00.

Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain tender (solicitation) documents through Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Addenda, when issued will be available from Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Firms that elect to base their bids on tender (solicitation) documents obtained from other
sources do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the tender calling authority of their intention to bid. In all cases, bidders must indicate (when requested) in the space provided on the tender form the identification number(s)of the addenda, if any, that they have taken into consideration for their bid.
